We always stay in a suite at the main inn and we’ve always been 100% pleased with our experiences there. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and the furnishingsare clean and comfortable. The hotel staff are also very helpful and efficient.
Our last visit there was for the Murder Mystery Weekend. I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun. We spent the weekend searching for clues, eating some of the best food of our lives, and laughing like children at Christmas. Some of the other guests actually thought that ... my boyfriend and I were the murderers. (Maybe because we got caught planting fake clues to throw the other guests off the trail!) We made quite a few friends while we were there and we can’t wait to go back again next year.
There are also plenty of other activities on site as well. The pool is warm and crystal clear, the property glamour of the gods is perfectly groomed, and the staff will make you feel like royalty. If you want a vacation where you can relax, have some fun, and make memories that will last for the rest of your life, then you can’t miss the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. It is a little more expensive than most other hotels we have stayed at in the same area, but it is well worth every cent and more.

On a recent trip there, I elected to stay a few minutes away from the city centre, to get away from the noise and the growing wandering homeless people, so I chose the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort and Spa. It is located just over a little bridge, a five minute walk from downtown, and it is also right on the water, which makes it a very pretty spot.
I actually wentfor a run around the property and along the water, and later walked into the city, and it was very nice not to have to worry about driving or parking. My room was beautiful and overlooked the water, and was nicely furnished and had a very comfortable bed.

We went down to the Crown Pointe Lodge and Golf Club in Farmington, Missouri. We like to visit Farmington because it is near many lovely hiking places and it is a great place to get away and relax! We had never visited this hotel before but it turned out to be a place I would definitely like to return to. Even though it was Valentine’s weekend the hotel was not crowded which was a big plus for me.
The hotel is situated on a golf course outside of town so it is out of the way and has a country feel to it. Although no one was really nova tv portal golfing since it is too cold right now, I enjoyed walking along the grounds one morning.
We got the standard two-queen bed room but it was a cut abovewhat we are used to (budget hotels). The room was clean, and the bathroom was pretty. We both really like the mango scented shampoo and soap. I am 5′9, so usually nova tv portal the showerhead is for some reason NOT above my head in hotels, which is annoying. That was not the case here; the showerhead was actually high enough above my head so that I could enjoy my shower.
The hotel offers a few small extras that just really make it a place for a romantic getaway! There is a small shop in the lobby where you can buy wine and also beer if you prefer it. My boyfriend asked them to bring up a bottle of my favorite wine, Shiraz, to the room. When we arrived it was waiting for us along with two glasses and a corkscrew. We also drank two of the cheapest bottles (9 dollars ... each). When requested they brought one to the room for us which was luxurious. Not only did we not need to leave the hotel for alcohol, we didn’t even need to leave the room!
There is a small pool and a hot tub. I enjoyed the hot tub very much, except that one morning it was not very hot for some reason. It was more like a warm bath which I did not like. Later that day it was hot again for some reason. There is also a small fitness room and computer room. The whole indoors of the hotel is non-smoking, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preference, I guess. For me, I loved it.
The breakfast is great for a continental one. There was toast, English muffins, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, nova tv portal cereal, bagels, and hardboiled eggs (which were cold). Beverages included ice water, multiple juices, milk, and coffee. I thought the coffee was a little weak but okay.
The lobby is pretty. There is a nice great room with furniture and a fireplace. nova tv portal One great thing is that the front desk is very helpful when it comes to finding the nearby attractions. They have many printouts ready to give you, menus, brochures for close state parks and historic sites, etc. You really don’t even need to plan your trip, just go there and let your trip happen!

Even though Rodrigues has now gained sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello its autonomous status and even though this website is usually dedicated to Mauritius, sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello I still feel that Rodrigues island is really a part of Mauritius, so I will share with you the holidays we had in Rodrigues a couple of months ago.
This was not my first visit to Rodrigues. I had been there many times in many different circumstances and every single time I have had the greatest time. I love the island’s authenticity as much as its landscapes and huge lagoons of crystal clear water.
This holiday was no different, although a bit windy as it was winter, we still enjoyed a relaxing family sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello time and the children enjoyed a whole lot of new experiences that they still talk about today.
Our flight to Rodrigues was in late afternoon and we arrived at the hotel Les Cocotiers early in the evening. We got acquainted with our rooms and organized our clothes and things. We didn t do much that evening and had an early night so that we could be full of energy for the following day.
Les Cocotiers sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello hotel is in Anse aux Anglais, close to Port Mathurin the capital city of Rodrigues. Our stay was very comfortable there and the staff always friendly and helpful. sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello [We did miss having some Rodrigues’ chilli at meal times though, especially as the island is very well known for its wonderful little chillies.]
However, you can still have a nice walk from the hotel towards Grand Baie. I went for a stroll one afternoon and it was really peaceful and nice. Taking the time to look around you also get a glimpse of Rodrigues day to day life, which is one of the aspects I love most while discovering new places.
Before going to the reserve, sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello as we had some time before the start of the guided visit, we made a quick stop to the coral quarry near Caverne Patate. The quarry sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello is no longer in operation but we could still see the dents in the landscape where the workers used to cut the coral blocks and there are still some lying around.
The first stop was close to some little tortoise where he told us about the history of the Anse Quitor valley where hundred of thousands tortoises could be found in the 17th century and were extinct by the 18th century. They were re-introduced into Rodrigues some years ago and they are now about 1500 in the valley today.
We then walked sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello to the beautiful valley where most of the tortoises are. You can walk amongst them throughout the valley and they like to be stroked under their necks. Children climbed on their back and gave them some food.
We then proceeded to the caves and followed sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello the guide while he was telling us all about the use of the caves early in the century by the inhabitants when they protected their herds during cyclones. The cave tour is nicely laid out. Unfortunately, sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello as it is very dark inside, I wasn’t sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello able to take too many photographs.
We met on the beach with a local fisherman who would bring us to the island. He was a very interesting lad, telling us about his life here and how he built up his little ‘touristic enterprise’ while fishing, growing his crops and taking care of his cattle.
On our way to the island, he had put a fishing line in the water and my nephew held on to it for his catch of the day! Nothing bit for a while which made my nephew a little bit impatient with those very un-cooperative fish! However, his determination to catch one did pay off as he finally caught a very nice ‘Carangue’. He was very proud of his catch and a little bit disappointed that we didn t get to eat it!
 
We then followed the sea shore to get back to our picnic area. I would advise to wear shoes if you go round the island as the rocks are sharp for some of the way and can be very tricky to manage bare foot.
Lunch was very nice! Our guide had prepared fish, sausages and chicken sofia sanchez & mauro mongiello with a salad made from green papayas. Quite unusual. I had never tasted those before. I did find it a bit weird but the others enjoyed it tremendously.
We didn t plan much on our third day and had more of a relaxing morning around the hotel. We then followed our instincts and drove around as we saw fit… We first stopped in Graviers where we had a nice (but windy! again!!) picnic under the trees.
