The resort is actually located on an island just off the coast of Hilton Head, SC. You take a 30 minute boat ride from Hilton Head to Daufuskie. There currently is not a bridge for driving to the island , so there are very few cars on the island . When we first arrived at check-in, there were three different couples loudly complaining to management about their miserable experiences. bazaar magazine I tried not to let it influence my opinion of the property andwas still excited about our vacation on the island … right up until the time we got off the boat. It was a miserable, bazaar magazine hot day and the front desk staff were kind enough to explain to us that our hotel room wouldn’t be available for at least two hours. We had reserved golf carts more than a month before our date of arrival and had a confirmation, yet the desk said they had made more reservations than they had carts to rent. There were several other couples also at the golf cart desk in the same situation. Not only had we reserved the carts well in advance, but we ... had already paid for them in advance. I was still determined to not have our vacation spoiled, so I suggested to my friends that we all walk down the street (in the miserable heat) to the hotel restaurant to grab a bite to eat while we waited for our rooms. When we got to the restaurant, there were very few customers inside. We waited for at least ten minutes before an employee finally stopped talking bazaar magazine to one of their buddies long enough to seat us. It took even longer before someone came to take our drink orders. I’m a patient person, but I was on the edge of becoming nasty.
